Finance Supervisor | Mid-Kent |£35k
A rapidly growing organisation based in the Mid-Kent area are looking for a Finance Supervisor to join their team. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, your role holds responsibility for all day-to-day transactional reporting for the International Group and support to the Finance team.

You will be required to work fully office based until you have passed probation with then the introduction of 1 day a week working from home.

Key responsibilities: -
• Ensure reconciliations of balance sheet control accounts, retention, purchase ledger, sales ledger and CIS accounts, across all companies are kept up to date and maintained on a monthly basis
• Oversee the smooth running of the Accounts Payable function including being a key contact for supplier/customer queries and communication
• Oversee the smooth running of the Accounts Receivable function, in conjunction with the Credit Controller, ensuring risk exposure is minimised and that debts are collected in a timely manner
• Setting up weekly supplier payment runs
• Assist with purchase ledger postings to cover periods of high volume and annual leave
• Daily sales ledger postings in conjunction with QS’s
• Management of release of purchase and sales ledger retention in conjunction with QS’s
• Monthly supplier statement reconciliations
• Monthly Goods Received not Invoiced reporting
• Weekly Purchase Ledger invoice number monitoring and reporting
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions in conjunction with procurement department
• Direct teams to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Meet financial accounting objectives

What you will need
• Proven working experience as a Finance Manager or Management Accountant role
• Advanced computer MS Office skills, accounting software and databases (Excel)
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to direct and motivate a team
