Reporting to: Assembly and Warehouse Supervisor


JOB PURPOSE

To assemble and/or pick and pack all products safely and efficiently, ensuring items meet the appropriate quality standard and that items cannot be damaged in transit. To ensure that all products are stored correctly in order to avoid any damage to finished and part finished goods.

RESPONSIBILITIES · To efficiently and safely assemble and/or pick and pack finished components/ sub-assemblies/finished goods for dispatch / transportation in line with RTC’s and the Customers requirements.
· To ensure that all products are assembled/packed to in order to avoid any damage to the goods whilst in transit.
· To ensure that all products are stored correctly in order to avoid any damage.
· To ensure that all work is completed within scheduled times/dates.
· Identify any quality control issues arising from your daily duties and report these to your line manager. As required document quality pass/fail rates and detail reasons.
· Reduce waste, be it materials, time, effort, or whatever.
· Maintain your workstation and entire workshop to a high standard of cleanliness, organisation and safety.
· Always ensure the safety and wellbeing of all RTC Associates and visitors, ensuring alignment and compliance with all Health and Safety policies.
· To ensure all department documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with company policy.
· Other duties as assigned by your Line Manager.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

· Experience in warehouse and/or assembly environment

· Fork-lift license desirable

· Good verbal and written communication

· Judgement

· Process compliance experience

· Attention to detail

· Self-starter

· Team worker

· Customer orientated

· Quality conscious

· Accurate, can-do positive attitude, flexible and cooperative disposition

· Represent the company to the highest standard at all times

This is a full-time permanent position, with 44.5 hours per week.

Qualifications;

Essential - Basic numeracy and literacy

Desirable - NVQ 2 Storage and Warehousing

Experience;

Essential - To have worked in a warehouse environment for at least 2 years.
- Experience with dealing with international shipments.
Desirable - To have industry experience.

Skills / Attributes -

Essential -Computer literate, attention to detail, adherence to safe working procedures, ability to work under pressure
Desirable -To have had experience of championing a project.

Communication;

Essential - Be a forward thinker, experience of dealing with people at all levels, good verbal communication skills.

Additional;

Essential - Current driving license, have a passport
Desirable - To have the ability and willingness to travel both within the UK and Overseas as and when required
