Job Title: Machine Shop / Factory Operative



Core details: Permanent role on the outskirts of Burgess Hill, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm, £10 - £11 per hour DOE, 29 days holiday increasing with service, Christmas shutdown, Uniform provided and profit share bonus scheme.

The role: We are currently working with a very well-established business within the Pump industry who are seeking a Machine Shop Labourer to join their expanding team. This role would equally suit an experienced Machine Shop/CNC operative or someone recently out of education with a keen desire to learn and build a career for themselves.

This will be a varied role which will see the jobholder operate a mill, lathe, sandblaster, conduct deburring, assist with locating stock/parts, assembling products, packing finished products and aiding other members of the Factory team with any smaller factory jobs. General housekeeping is also required and there will be opportunities to learn CNC setting/operation and welding over time.

Key skills required: You must be a keen and eager individual, willing to learn and aid your colleagues in any area necessary. This role requires good common sense, an awareness of health and Safety and the ability to work in a manual, standing role for long periods of the day. Good dexterity is also needed. The role isn't accessible by public transport, so you will need to drive or be a keen cyclist.

The Package:

* Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm / 30 minutes unpaid break
* £10 - £11 per hour based on experience
* 20 days holiday + birthday off + bank holiday. Allowance increases with service.
