Goldhawk Associates are working with a Top 25 firm of accountants who are looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager/Manager/Senior Manager to their team. This role can be based in Kent, Sussex, or London and they are looking for a qualified CTA accountant with previous experience of working with a varied client base and staff supervision. You will be supporting not for profit organisations, private individuals, and families on all areas of business, tax, and wealth. You will be responsible and support/overseeing and maintaining the annual CT compliance service of a varied portfolio of corporate clients. Their corporate clients include a broad range of sectors and industries and include OMBs, entrepreneurial companies, larger corporates, multi-national groups, FSA regulated companies and AIM listed PLCs. Exposure to international tax issues such as double taxation relief and double taxation
treaties, transfer pricing, thin capitalisation, and CFCs would be useful. Support and mentoring will be given.

Depending on your experience and the level you enter the firm at you will report to either the Corporate Tax Manager/Senior Manager and Corporate Partner. You will be expected to have a good knowledge of UK corporation tax and a sound grasp of other business taxes to not only ensure clients are fully tax compliant but to also identify tax planning opportunities.
Their corporate clients include a broad range of sectors and industries and include entrepreneurial growth companies, larger corporates, multi-national groups, FSA regulated companies and AIM listed PLCs.
You will also be heavily involved in planning assignments including detailed analysis of the Disguised Investment Management fee rules, Transactions in Land, EMI and EIS schemes, demergers, due diligence on acquisitions, and advising on sales of businesses. Exposure to international tax issues such as double taxation relief and double taxation treaties, transfer pricing, thin capitalisation, and CFCs would be useful. Support and mentoring will be given
Review and where necessary prepare more complex corporation tax returns and computations. Assist the manager, senior manager, and partners with a wide range of ad hoc advisory queries ranging from one off questions to larger project work and assist with tax marketing, and selling of services.

Your role:
To assist with the successful running of the Corporate Tax department.
Assist UK and international clients structure their affairs tax efficiently
Help manage the client relationship to become the trusted business advisor
Assist with managing the CT compliance services to a varied portfolio of corporate clients
Review more complex corporation tax returns and computations
Evidence of training and mentoring junior staff would be useful as you will manage a small team, including appraisals and work allocation
