Our client who specialise in the construction industry are seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the day-to-day operations within the finance department.

The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director and collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.

About the role

* Oversee all company accounts
* Identify results, trends, and financial forecasts whilst regularly looking for cost reduction opportunities
* Manage cash flow by tracking transactions
* Supervise and manage financial department staff including production of payroll and ledger posting
* Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation, particularly FRS 102
* Develop budgets and financial forecasts for the company based on research and data reports
* Assist the MD in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and owners

About you

* Must have bachelor's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field
* To have achieved ACCA or CIMA qualification (desirable but not essential)
* Able to demonstrate excellent management, leadership and interpersonal skills
* High attention to detail and organisational skills
* Understanding of data privacy standards
