Production Manager

£40,000 - £50,000, Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm, 20 days holiday + bank holidays, pension, parking



The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Manager to join our client, an award-winning manufacturing business who specialise in vehicle livery, print and signage. Reporting to the MD, this brand-new role will see you take ownership for the management of the day-to-day production output of the business, ensuring sales requirements are met, managing production facilities and teams and planning for future growth and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for People, Process, Materials and Equipment in all departments from pre-production, cutting and printing of materials, ordering, stock management and installation of our products.

* Recruit, motivate, manage and retain production team
* To oversee, co-ordinate and have ultimate responsibility for production scheduling
* Ensure that the highest level of customer care is maintained throughout the customer journey. This includes pre-sales, production, on time delivery, and after-sales service.
* Manage and co-ordinate all activities associated with the design, templating, production and delivery/installation of all products and services in accordance with our QA system, ISO 9001.
* Organise and manage the team and processes to achieve optimum productivity and performance.
* Work with all team members and senior management to constantly review and refine the overall operation of the business (LEAN methodology)
* Maintain a high personal profile and assume a leading role in all product development and design activity.
* Work with the sales team to provide support and technical assistance when requested, for pricing and timing, to help secure new commercial contracts



Requirements

We would expect the successful Production Manager to be able to demonstrate previous experience operating at senior management level in a medium sized business, You will have a solid understanding of the print and/or manufacturing sector with excellent understanding of full product development from design to manufacture and fitting., You will be an excellent leader who strives to continually improve and implement efficient processes.
