Located in the picturesque, rural setting of East Sussex, Nikwax is a highly successful outdoor business that is run by a close-knit and friendly team of employees, whom we are proud to call ‘Partners’.
Nikwax develops care products and material systems that improve performance and extend the life of clothing, footwear and equipment whilst minimising environmental impact with clean chemistry. We develop and manufacture in-house, from our headquarters in Wadhurst, East Sussex. The Role
Improve stock allocation of components for the production of Nikwax products by maintaining appropriate stock levels and moving stock between production and despatch; as well as reducing Quality related issues by carrying out regular QC checks on the filling line and on finished products.
You Will
• Ensure that all production lines are supplied with components for daily filling requirements
• Conduct, record and report on findings from regular QC checks
• Mix and change over IBC's, assist with changeovers and flushing out to minimise downtime
• Coordinate and ensure that all yard duties are carried out
• Unload and load deliveries as well as carry out van driving duties
• Communicate when stock is running low.
You will be working in a warehouse environment between two sites within a 5 mile radius of Wadhurst, East Sussex; due to the locations you must have your own transport.
A full driving licence is required for this role.
You Will Be
• Preferably experienced in working in a production and warehouse environment
• A self-starter with good people skills
• Experienced in Quality Control (an advantage but not essential as full training will be given)
• Forklift trained (preferred but not essential)
• Able to use computers to a basic level
• Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
