Job Title: Risk Manager - Financial Services

Salary, circa £68,000 DOE

Location: West Malling

Hybrid working model with good flex

Monday to Friday 35 hour week

Fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and highly professional Risk Manager to join a large, successful, and well reputed Finance business in West Malling. The company are going through a massive period of transformation and it's a great time to join them and really make a difference.

This is a busy role working with the Head of Risk. You will be an integral part of the Risk Team wo are responsible for supporting and overseeing the business with risk management.

Duties include but not exhausted:

* Responsible for Co-ordinating the risk control and self-assessment (RCSA) with the 1LOD. Providing support to the 1LOD with testing of controls as this is rolled out and embedded.
* Responsible for leading the annual review and updating of Risk policies including the Risk Management Framework and Risk Appetite Framework with sign-off by the Executive and Board. Ensuring the company remain aligned to industry and regulatory requirements by continually assessing the framework, remaining fit-for-purpose and assessing the evolving needs of the organisation and implementing and maintaining risk processes and system to ensure delivery of framework outputs for the company and external stakeholders.
* Responsible for co-ordinating the risk control and self-assessment ("RCSA") with the 1LOD. Provide support to the 1LOD with testing of controls as this is rolled out and embedded. Co-ordinating with colleagues within 2LOD to ensure all areas are included.
* Continual enhancement of the framework to ensure appropriate effective and proportionate identification and treatment of risks particularly to meet the risk management demands of the digital transformation.



The successful candidate will have:



* Strong leadership with demonstrable skills
* Deep technical understanding of risk methodologies, risk related control frameworks and the ability to drive and deliver implementation.
* Proven stakeholder management capability.
* Experience of PRA/FCA regulation within a regulated financial environment.
* Degree level or equivalent
* Strong analytical skills and a good eye for detail
* Numerical skills and the ability to evaluate costs
* Ideally have extensive knowledge and understanding of banking practice and retail financial services market development, demonstrating an appreciation for the challenges of delivering a robust risk framework
* Ideally have implemented 3LOD modelling within the financial sector, however will train in this area.
* Good awareness of information governance, data protection and confidentiality issues.
* Ability to think outside the box and use initiative to propose solutions and challenge existing approaches
* Excellent MS Office skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Great organisational and prioritisation skills, with close attention to detail.
