A Motor Sport company is hiring for a Web Developer in West Kent. They are also paying up to £65,000 (Hybrid).

About:
The company is in the motoring sport industry and they are willing to pay up to £65,000 for a .NET Web Developer. You would need to work 4 days onsite a week, and you will also be put on a rota with the other developers for working race weekends. (NOTE when you work race weekends, you will earn back those 2 days in the following week)

Main Purpose of Job:
To operate and work within a team of developers working on crucial applications to support the company's targets and objectives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Proactively contribute to support and development of existing applications
* Proactively contribute to the development of new and innovative products as part of a small team.
* Develop an understanding of all systems and be able to assist with bug fixing, development or testing across the entire environment.
* Ensure that development is rigourous and conforms to the process requirements of the business.
* Ensure code is of the highest quality including commenting, unit testing and documentation.
* Participate in group activities such as demonstrations, design reviews, requirement exploration, system architecting, etc.
* Develop a broad skill set covering all aspects of the the company's software environment as well as a defined area of specialisation (T-shaped).
* Must be able to provide onsite (Trackside) technical support for multiple race weekends during any given season.
* Must be able to work flexible hours as needed to support project timelines and deliver efforts on time.
* To complete all mandatory training within specified timelines.
* To operate safely at all times in line with Company health and safety requirements.
* To undertake other duties within your capabilities as your Group Manager or Team Leader may assign to you from time to time.

Qualifications:
Hons Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline

Experience:

* Full Stack ASP.Net Developer with more than 5yrs experience in a software development environment
* Proficient use of Microsoft Office/JIRA/Confluence or similar applications

Essential Skills:

* Experience with the following technologies / tools: C# / WebAPI / REST / Angular / CSS (Less) / WebSockets (SignalR) / SQL / WPF / Linq / Entity Framework / Swagger / AutoMapper.
* Experience with developing / supporting distributed event-based architectures built around message buses and event streams e.g. Kafka / ActiveMq / RabbitMq / SQS.
* You have experience working with asynchronous and multi-threaded code and environments.
* Fluent working knowledge of Linq and associated functional programming practices in the C# environment.
* You have experience working with database architecture and tools (e.g., MSSQL & PostgreSQL)
* Experience writing and maintaining Unit, integration, E2E and regression tests and test suites.
* You are well versed in Object Oriented programming concepts and common patterns such as MVVM / DI / CQRS with tools such as Unity / AutoFac / MediatR.
* You have strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate, report and converse effectively.
* You understand core TCP/IP principles.
* You understand core XML / XSD principles.

Desirable Skills:

* You have experience with the following technologies: WPF / Blazor / GraphQL / WCF.
* You have experience with microservice architectures and containerisation (Docker / Kubernetes)
* You have experience with NoSQL Databases such as Mongo / DocumentDB.
* You have experience working with application metrics & monitoring with tools such as Prometheus / Grafana / Cloudwatch.
* You have experience with either Operational or Test Automation to reduce operational complexity and / or improve product quality.
* You are familiar with code source control such as GIT
* You have a good understanding of CI/CD practices - ideally TeamCity / Octopus / Nexus
* You understand AGILE development philosophies.
