Are you an experienced HR professional looking to work within a varied role in a friendly environment and with a good work/life balance?

Pilgrims Hospices are looking to recruit an HR Advisor to support our Operations and Support Services teams, bringing together HR operations, advice and business partnering in a coherent role.


The Role
As a member of the HR team the HR Advisor will support the Head of HR & Education in delivering a high quality, effective and efficient HR service.

Working in collaboration with key stakeholders, the post holder will lead on developing policies and procedures, and develop the skills and capacity of managers to empower them to manage people issues effectively and independently and in line with Pilgrims CODE.

This broad role will support its client group with a range of specialist HR activities including:

Employee relations support and advice.
Recruitment planning and strategy
Coaching and development of line managers
Business Partnering to Directors
Volunteer workforce advice and support
In addition, the post holder will be involved in wider HR and Education team initiatives and may lead on the delivery of small HR projects.


Working Arrangements
This is a part-time role (21 hrs per week) and is based at Pilgrims Hospice Canterbury although it is a role that will operate across all of our 3 hospice sites when required. Working hours are flexible over Monday to Friday and hybrid working arrangements can also be considered. You will be provided with free on-site parking and subsidised meals during your work day.


About You
To be successful in this role you should have previous experience within a similar role, providing a broad range of HR services and advice with a business-focused approach. You will have experience of coaching and training managers, advising on complex employee relations issues and will bring a commitment to professionally developing yourself and others.
