Do you have experience working in a library or archive? Do you like using your skills to organise and coordinate a wide range of activities?

We are looking for an individual to join our team as a Special Collections and Archive Coordinator. In this role you will get to support the development of effective partnerships with the Divisions, the University’s academic communities and wider audiences. You will work across the Special Collections and Archives and the wider Learning and Research Resources (LRR) Team to engage and support Divisions’ awareness, engagement with, and use of Special Collections and Archives services.

Who are we looking for:

You will have previous experience working in a library or archive setting. You will have great communication skills, being able to work with a variety of people and have excellent accuracy and attention to detail. You will need to be highly organised and have good IT skills and the ability to be a great team member.

We are looking for someone who enjoys the work that they do, is not afraid to get stuck in with the team and also ensure professionalism at all times.


More about the role:

This role assists the Special Collections and Archives Manager to develop, maintain and deliver services that meet education and research needs, including supervision of the Reading Room and retrieval. Works collaboratively with colleagues across matrix Learning and Research Resources Teams to contribute to service improvements and ensure delivery of efficient and effective services. Assists with collection management for Special Collections and Archives.

This role also arranges and provides student and staff focused training and events to support with the use of, and engagement with the University’s collections of unique and significant material for the support of learning, teaching, research and cultural and artistic activities
