We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Adviser to work as part of our charity based in Dover but with offices across the UK. This role is offered to on a 12 month fixed term contract with a potential for the role to be extended or made permanent.

The Role:

In this role you will design candidate attraction strategies for a wide range of roles, including those in our Head Office in Dover and other sites. You will take full oversight of the recruitment process from start to finish, ensuring both the candidate and hiring manager have a positive experience at all stages.

The role holder will contribute to improving recruitment and selection resources and guidance, developing marketing and messaging initiatives to overcome any recruitment challenges. This will be done with a focus on Diversity and Inclusion and be consistent with the organisations overall values and strategy.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process, compliant with best practice, orgnaisational policy, and all relevant legislation
• Manage entire recruitment campaigns for roles across the organisation at all levels but particularly for our call centre in Dover creating
and managing recruitment pools
• Create efficiencies, reducing the time to recruit by monitoring and working with hiring managers in the process
• Participate in workforce planning and develop our ATS, advertising and recruitment portal
• Raise the profile of the charity through representation at careers fairs and other exhibitions and events to attract suitable candidates in the
locality
• Work with hiring managers to advise and coach on aspects such as; writing job descriptions, timetables, short-listing and interviewing
questions, and support in interviewing.
• Establish direct hiring methods, as well as working in partnership with selected recruitment consultancies
• To oversee and monitor the employee referral scheme
The ideal candidate will;
• Have recent extensive experience of managing recruitment cycles from approval stage all the way through to onboarding the successful
candidate
• Ideally have a background of inhouse recruitment or perhaps working in recruitment agency or similar
• Be able to demonstrate experience of developing and delivering a range of effective candidate attraction strategies
• Be passionate about what we do as a charity and be enthusiastic about sourcing the right people to come and further support the work
that we do
• Show determination and be ready to act when challenges arise in attracting the right candidates
• You will be adept at building and maintaining relationships across the organisation and be comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all
levels
• You will be an excellent communicator with strong planning and organisational skills
• The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines will be extremely important
• Be confident in communicating with hiring managers about recruitment processes and best practice.
• Knowledge of immigration and visa processes and IR35 whilst useful are not essential.
