Barker Munro recruitment are working with a Specialist Underwriter to recruit a Data and Business Services Assistant into the Team. You have an opportunity to make a positive contribution in a working environment which encourages responsibility and creativity.
The Data and Business Services Assistant will work alongside the Head of MI and Pricing and the Business Services Manager to help the Company grow profitably in a controlled and professional way. This opportunity will suit someone looking to establish a career in the insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce regular reports for management, other parts of the business and external business partners.
Instigate and carry out investigations in observed trends, concerns and opportunities.
Analysing data to support business avenues.
Involvement in the monthly rate review process and communicating changes to staff and brokers.
Assist with SQL warehouse management and housekeeping duties.


The ideal candidate will:

Enjoy responsibility and learning new skills
Have an active interest in mathematics or analytics
Demonstrate ability to work independently and to deadlines
Pay attention to detail
Have good organisational skills
Have good communication skills
Possess good time management skills and able to prioritise work based on the business need
Be confident using Microsoft Excel

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. The role will be office based.

This role suit either a Graduate with a mathematical degree or candidates with analytical experience.
