Are you a qualified Accountant with experience and understanding of student finances and student financial services? If so we have an exciting 12 month full time opportunity for the role of Student Financial Services Manager.

In this post you will provide leadership of the University’s student financial services, providing an integrated and consistent service to all students at all locations. You will work closely with the Financial Planning Office to provide tuition fee income and financial aid budgets and forecasts and with the Financial Reporting Office to provide management and statutory account information.

As Student Financial Services Manager you will:

Implement and monitor policies for the invoicing, collection and accounting treatment of all student-facing and commercial income and debt
Monitor and update the customer service standard for Student Financial Services and lead direct reports to ensure these services are delivered consistently and effectively
Provide expert advice to both academic Divisions, professional service departments and overseas partners on a range of financial matters relating to student financial income
Lead, motivate and develop relevant staff, providing clear objectives and managing performance against these
To be successful in this role you will have/be:

CCAB professional qualification with an accountancy body
Experience and understanding of the structure and nature of student finances and student financial services
Substantial experience of working in a financial environment, making use of electronic accounting systems
Experience of assessing and improving or auditing internal controls
Proven experience of successfully managing and motivating staff
