Contract: Permanent, 37 hours, term time only + 5 days

We require a Student Resilience Mentor to join Goodwin Academy to support in developing resilience and wellbeing amongst the students.

The successful applicant will deliver small group and one to one interventions to support student’s resilience and wellbeing, thus reducing student anxiety, behavioural issues and promoting mental wellbeing and resilience. You will organise and manage intervention sessions of referred students from the Resilience Manager.

What you will need to succeed:

‘C’ grades or above at GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Effective communicator both orally and in writing, you will be liaising with parents informing them of individual students’ referrals/ interventions.
Effective ICT skills (SIMS knowledge would be advantageous but training will be provided)
Excellent organisational and administrative skills
Experience of working with children and young people
Previous experience in providing wellbeing, pastoral support at Key Stage 3 or 4 will be a distinct advantage
Understanding of the educational system and current developments
Awareness of current legislation regarding children
