Sales Executive: Ground Handling International (GHI) portfolio
The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving stand and sponsorship sales on a major aviation industry exhibition with an opportunity to move into wider GHI portfolio activity if you impress.
You will have 2+ years’ experience within a comparable exhibition/B2B sales position and have a track record in exceeding sales targets.
Exceptional communication skills are essential to this role both in building trust with external market players and within the business.

Key responsibilities:
• Exceeding team and individual KPIs in accordance with the business plan.
• Selling exhibition space and sponsorships over the phone and face-to-face.
• Building a strong network of key account customers within the aviation industry, knowing. their needs and business practices to hone sales presentations and create added value.
• Ensuring all clients have successful on-site experiences and conduct rebooks for each event.
• Offering ideas and developing opportunities that will drive business growth.
• Using strong communication skills to work collaboratively with the Operations/Conference team/Portfolio Director to develop new opportunities.
• Updating and maintaining a sales pipeline/CRM system.
• Ensuring all contractual paperwork is completed accurately and on-time.

Essential skills/experience:
• 2 years+ experience in exhibition sales/B2B sales/media sales.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including an excellent telephone manner, confidence when cold calling and an ability to pitch effectively.
• Results & quality driven: a proven ability to achieve both sales targets and have demonstrated high levels of client satisfaction within the sales cycle.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills: builds rapport quickly and fluently. Strong levels of empathy that enable you to engage with customer needs and build trust.
• Calm under pressure: shows a proven ability to think and act with speed and efficiency in a fast-paced environment to high performance levels.
• Negotiation skills: ability to close prospects, assertive in retaining margins and able to seek best alternative to a negotiated agreement according to win:win principles.
• Project management skills: ability to forward plan and multitask. A track record in hitting deadlines. Proactive and organised with strong time management systems in place.
• New business generation: evidence of using research on LinkedIn, competitor analysis to drive new revenue or using initiative to upsell existing clients and build revenue.
• Proficient with CRM systems
A full UK driving licence and UK passport are essential to this role.
