Role Overview:

A global provider of (re)insurance underwriting solutions; This role is part of the Corporate Actuarial function at the Group level. You will be responsible for providing multi-disciplinary actuarial information, advice and services to support and enable effective reserving and reporting to regulatory bodies in a number of jurisdictions. Engaged in developing reserving and actuarial/statistical models, conducting detailed actuarial analyses and contributing to business development, management and change activities. Work closely with other actuarial colleagues located around the world, and information suppliers/customers delivering 'fit for purpose' actuarial information.



Summary of Duties:

* Conducting quarterly loss reserve reviews for the Global Markets and Reinsurance segments of the Group, including producing material for management and board meetings
* Performing detailed actuarial analyses as required, including working with complex or partial data, to deliver timely, accurate, insightful and commercially appropriate outputs
* Involvement with the calculation of Solvency II technical provisions
* Preparation of annual profitability studies
* Providing actuarial assistance and expertise with the internal implementation of IFRS 17
* Assistance with planning, forecasting and reinsurance renewals
* Performing industry research and analysis of parameters and methodologies
* Enhancing procedures to audit reports for accuracy



What you need:

* Nearly or newly qualified Fellow-level member of a recognized actuarial body
* 5+ years of experience in the actuarial field
* Proficiency with Excel and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
* Knowledge of Solvency II concepts
* Experience with ResQ, SAS, Lloyd's reporting and/or IFRS 17 concepts would be beneficial
* Highly skilled at dealing with concepts and complexities comfortably
* Ability to make sound decisions in a timely manner
* Strong ethics and integrity
