£70 a day – Full-time – Immediate Starts


Supply Desk are working with a Special Needs School in Swanley, recruiting for several 1:1 Teaching Assistant vacancies. These positions are on a full-time basis and with an immediate starts. Successful candidates will also be taken on a temp-to-perm basis.

The school itself is an SEN school that specializes in Mild to Severe Learning difficulties, with the needs of their students including: ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder), ADHD, Speech and Language, Downs Syndrome, Aspergers, and Behavioural Needs.

At the school, the children and young people are at the heart of everything they do. Their aim is to provide an outstanding and supportive learning environment which challenges students to achieve success. They pride themselves on preparing students for life. The core learning values, which are at the centre of the curriculum, focus upon developing the pupil’s resilience and ability to make informed life choices.

The Role
• Working 1:1 with students with SEN
• SEN needs may include Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Downs Syndrome, Speech and Language, Extreme Challenging Behaviour
• Collaborating with the Class Teacher and SENCO in providing support for the students concerned

The Ideal Candidate
• Previous experience working with children with SEN would be highly desirable
• A background in Psychology would be desirable but not essential
• Must be DBS checked (Enhanced DBS preferable)
