At Carers First, we understand that caring can be hard, but believe getting the right help shouldn’t be. We work directly with and for, unpaid carers to provide personalised information, advice, and support. Making it easier for those caring for someone else to continue living their lives to the fullest.

We are currently seeking Carers Support Advisers to join our team in the Central Team. The requirements of the role will include, working within our busy Carers Helpline Team providing information and advice to carers on the telephone, email, webchat and via virtual drop ins. Being the first point of contact for carers and professionals, you will be required to provide tailored information, advice, and guidance undertaking referrals and proportionate assessment of carers needs and where appropriate assist with support planning.

To be successful you must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills. You will have a working knowledge of health and social care, particularly relating to adults and carers. Experience of providing support to carers over the telephone would be an advantage.

The location for the position is based at our main Strood office in Medway and will include an element of out of hours work on a rotational basis.
