Are you passionate about providing first class careers advice and guidance to students and graduates? Do you have experience in developing and delivering careers and employability courses in higher education?

If so, this three year fixed term role could be a great opportunity for you to develop your own career within the University's award-winning Careers and Employability Service.

The role will see you working closely with colleagues across the institution in developing curriculum to meet the needs of employers and professional bodies, and ensuring students are engaging with industry relevant materials.

In line with the University's mission to provide students with the best possible preparation for their future lives, part of the Kent 2025 Strategy, you will provide specialist careers and employability support to improve their long term employment prospects and to allow them to make informed decisions about their future.

Your understanding and experience of developing higher education courses will be key, along with experience of business engagement and a substantial record of providing effective careers guidance information and support to higher education students and graduates.

As a Senior Careers Adviser you will:
• provide specialist Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) and employability support to University of Kent students and graduates from a wide range of disciplines
• lead in the development and delivery of a co-ordinated careers and employability programme
• work with academic colleagues to identify opportunities to develop interventions at module, year and programme level

To be successful in this role you will have:
• a first degree and/or substantial experience in a similar or related role and a professional qualification in careers guidance
• experience of working with a diverse client group encompassing a broad age-range and from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds
• experience of business engagement and relationship management to support employability and careers activity in Higher Education
• exceptional organisational, planning and evaluation skills, delivering large scale projects
