Are you an experienced teacher familiar with the higher education sector and interested in working with our multi-national student groups preparing for university study?

We are looking for an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Tutor to deliver high-quality, engaging teaching and student experience and to lead on modules across our EAP provision and levels. As well as teaching, you will need to be comfortable working on one-to-one student support, designing modules and guiding colleagues as they teach your modules.

As EAP Tutor you will:
• teach and develop high-quality teaching materials using a variety of techniques and approaches
• convene and/or teach on any of the Department's modules and support the coordination of one of the key courses
• mark and moderate coursework and examinations
• contribute to departmental learning and teaching activities, induction, open days, projects and initiatives

To succeed in this role you will have:
• a postgraduate degree associated with English language teaching or (Applied) Linguistics or extensive experience in the application of English language teaching skills in relevant contexts
• a certificate or diploma such as CELTA or DELTA or equivalent
• recent experience and knowledge of dynamic and student-centred teaching of multi-national groups on EAP courses associated with preparing students for university study, preferably both in the UK and overseas
• a strong awareness of equal opportunities and intercultural and interpersonal differences
