We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Legal Support Officer (Property) to join our team in Kent.



You'll be responsible for undertaking routine legal work and providing support on legal cases by assisting colleagues in the Property Legal Services Team to deliver a fantastic service to Clarion.



Main responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Support the lawyers and paralegals within the Property Legal Services Team in providing legal advice, representation and legal transactional work.

To undertake routine property legal work.

To co-ordinate the necessary, non-specialist administrative support required for the Legal Services Team including the processing of invoices, purchase requisitions (PR), purchasing card accounts as required, running PR reports to assist with budget monitoring and arranging payments to third parties.

To comply with the processes and procedures established within the Legal Services Team to ensure the efficient and effective provision of legal services across the Clarion Housing Group including maintaining such data records, registers and deeds schedules as required by the Principal Property Lawyer and complying with policies and practices for sound data management, both in case management and in passing on key data to other departments and obtaining data in a timely fashion.

To assist in developing the in-house legal provision to meet the needs of the Clarion Housing Group and its Group partners.

To be systems administrators for the legal case management system, setting up and closing files, maintaining precedents, inputting data and running reports, liaising with the software provider and providing training to ensure that the system is fully functioning and being used accurately by the Legal Services Team.







To be successful in this role we'll require you to have a Law degree and/or a CILEX Level 6 certificate in Conveyancing or equivalent relevant experience. You'll come to us with experience of assisting with property law matters, excellent IT skills and an appetite to develop your experience in property legal work. Experience of working in a housing association, public sector body or other housing environment would be advantageous but not essential.
