Student Data Systems Manager

£41,526 to £48,114 per annum

As Student Data Systems Manager you will manage the Student Data Systems team which develops and maintains the University’s student records system that underpins the entire student lifecycle from admissions and clearing through to graduation.

You will also take responsibility for the strategic development of the student data systems and day-to-day technical support of these systems, so will be supported by and manage a team to enable this

Working closely with staff in professional services departments, including a Student Record System manager and their team of system business analysts, you will ensure that the student data systems meet the business requirements of the University.

As Student Data Systems Manager you will:

Provide effective leadership and management for all staff within the Student Data Systems team and be an enabler of matrix and virtual team working across Information Services and with other departments where appropriate.
Manage the effective development, operation and enhancement of the University's student data systems to meet business needs and enhance student experience.

Support critical University processes and major University initiatives across academic divisions and central services.

Design, develop and implement solutions for a range of business change projects, often with competing timescales.

To succeed in this role you will:

Be educated to graduate level or equivalent in a relevant discipline
Have experience of managing the development and maintenance of large corporate systems
Have experience of developing technical strategies, standards and best practice guidelines with the ability to communicate and enforce agreed best practice
Experience of successfully partnering with stakeholders to improve processes and procedures that meet user requirements through the development of core business systems
