Help bring our story to life

We want an experienced graphic designer to join our small but busy team.

We’ve got ambitious plans for the next few years - improving our open spaces, delivering more affordable housing, and taking action to tackle climate change.

We want to engage and involve local people in this, and we need to make sure out graphics helps to bring this story to life.

The role

You’ll report to the communications manager and will be responsible for the day-to-day design function for the council. This includes the usual leaflets, posters, adverts, infographics etc in a range of formats, as well as a quarterly residents’ magazine.

You’ll have a great understanding of the design and print process, be comfortable working under pressure to tight deadlines, and be an expert with software like InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing a photo library, and increasingly, our use of video.

This is a full-time position (37 hours per week) on a permanent contract, and we offer a generous annual leave allowance, flexible working and entry to the Local Government Pension scheme.
