Job Location: Flexible location in North or South Kent

Our Independent Domestic Violence service is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Kent. In a nutshell, you'll be managing Clarion's Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) service, providing a safe and effective frontline IDVA service to victims of domestic abuse especially those at highest risk.

With a proved track record responding to the risks and needs of survivors of abuse and the ability to work under pressure, you'll be responsible for developing, monitoring and maintaining a high-quality IDVA service which consistently prioritises client's safety and has client choice and self-determination at its core.

You'll have a thorough knowledge of the impact of domestic abuse on survivors and their families which you will use to implement and support the on-going strategic development of the IDVA service and take a lead role in local domestic abuse strategic partnerships and planning.

Some of the other key duties include:

* Responsible for developing, managing and leading a team that keeps the safety of victims of domestic abuse central to all processes. You will have direct day to day responsibility for clients accessing the IDVA service and the IDVA's who work with them.
* Ensure involvement of the IDVA service in local MARAC and One-Stop-Shops adhering to information sharing and risk management protocols and frameworks for high-risk victims.
* Ensure the safe and effective delivery of services to survivors, including risk assessment, safety planning, the safeguarding of adults and children and referrals to other agencies and MARAC.
* Manage, motivate, support, and develop your team, leading by example to ensure clients and stakeholders receive excellent services and objectives in team plans are met.

We're looking for the following key skills and experience:

* A recognised Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) qualification. ('Safe' Lives or Women's Aid.)
* Extensive demonstrable experience of working within the field of domestic abuse.
* An excellent understanding of the dynamics and complexity of domestic abuse including the impact on victims and their children and the legal and practical remedies available to these clients.
* Expert knowledge of the context of IDVA services, relevant domestic abuse legislation and best practice including Protection Of Vulnerable Adults, child safeguarding and child protection protocols when working with high risk victims of domestic abuse.
* An excellent understanding of the support needs vulnerable victims and their families might have and the ability to support your team to translate this into practical and effective help for clients.
* Demonstrable experience of effectively managing, leading, motivating and inspiring staff.
