The successful post holder will hold a degree and be expected to have leadership experience and support and benefit from our Band 5 Occupational Therapist Peer Group which supports your professional and personal development in a supportive environment.
The Occupational Therapist will work in partnership with all the hospital’s acute specialities: Surgery and Orthopaedics, West Kent Vascular Centre, Critical Care, Adult Medicine, Acute Stroke Services, Macmillan Haematology Unit, 'Front Door' Services, Acute Medical Assessment Unit, Elderly Care, Dementia Unit and Acute Frailty.
In addition, we are developing our Occupational Therapist roles in the hospital with in-service training sessions three times per week plus support for external CPD opportunities. For experienced candidates there is the potential to progress your career in our team.
As part of our ongoing commitment to professional development we are offering a number of apprenticeships in Leadership and Management, Business Services, Finance, Accounting and HR, Clinical Support Work, Nursing Associate and Assistant Practitioner alongside our in-house comprehensive clinical pathways.
The Trust has also engaged with the renowned Henley Business School to be able to offer MBA, MA,BA, Executive Education, Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes.
