L&Q are looking for experienced Passive Fire Stoppers to join the fire management repairs team within Direct Maintenance with a focus on Passive Fire Protection.


Covering the North Regions – Including Tower Hamlets, Barking and Dagenham, Waltham Forest and Barnet and surrounding areas. You must be prepared to travel to all parts of London.

The role is to provide a customer focused Fire Management Repairs and Maintenance service across L&Q’s properties and communal areas whilst putting safety first.

The role will report to a Fire Maintenance Supervisor and to carry out, works as instructed. Whilst meeting L&Q's corporate targets of financial strength and resident satisfaction and deal with the outcomes of Fire Risk Assessment actions in a timely manner.

Candidates will have ideally gained experience within a reactive fire role within a social housing environment. They will be able to carry out a number of tasks including, but not limited to, passive fire-stopping, finishing and decoration.

This role requires a keen attention to detail. Awareness of Ablative batt, fire rated plaster board and intumescent sealants.

Our Operatives are supplied with an L&Q van (business use only), uniform and PPE equipment. You will begin the day from your home address where you will travel to jobs which are distributed to your PDA (hand-held device).
