Farm Assistant

We are looking to recruit a new self-motivated Farm Assistant to assist the Farm staff in carrying out day to day routine tasks involved with the efficient running of Blackmans Lane Dairy Unit, Faulkner’s Farm and Princess Christian Farm.

The ability to communicate effectively is essential for this role, along with experience of operating within a sheep/dairy/beef/pig unit and with farm machinery. As well as being a genuine team worker, candidates will need to show proof of a minimum Level 2 vocational qualification.

This is a casual hours post to help cover busy periods, annual leave etc., as required, so a willingness to work flexible hours (days, nights, weekends, bank holidays), subject to availability, is essential.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and provide proof of their right to work in the UK. A prohibition check will be carried where applicable.

As well as a contributory pension scheme, salary sacrifice scheme and free car parking, this post also attracts 30 days’ holiday per annum, (pro rata), excluding bank holidays.
