£24,202 - £32,463 per annum, pro rata

Hours: 14.8 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (0.4 pro rata)

Here at Hadlow College we have a thriving and dynamic Machinery department, teaching a wide range of levels from Schools students through to Further and Higher Education. We now need to recruit a new and highly motivated Lecturer to join the Machinery team, to deliver these courses at our main site in Hadlow. The successful candidate will need to be educated to at least Level 3 and have strong practical experience of working in the industry.
You will need to demonstrate sound practical experience in a machinery environment and ideally will have some teaching experience in a practical/classroom setting. A level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in numeracy and literacy is essential. The College will support new unqualified lecturers with a reduced teaching commitment in their first year. Those staff will receive a bonus of £600.00 in the third year and £750.00 in their fourth year, providing they have successfully gained their full teaching qualification at Hadlow College.
Candidates will also need to be adaptable, resourceful, reliable and resilient, have excellent communication and IT skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. Qualifications A1/A2 (D32/D33) would also be an advantage.
This is a part time role, working 14.8 hours per week. As well as a contributory pension scheme, salary sacrifice scheme, health cash plan and free car parking, these posts also attract 42 days holiday each year (pro rata), excluding bank holidays.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and provide proof of their right to work in the UK. Where applicable, a prohibition check will be carried out.
