Cluster Registered Home Manager

£34,200 to £36,200 p.a.

Rochester, Kent

Kent Autistic Trust

Cluster Registered Home Manager

The Kent Autistic Trust is an award winning provider of autistic services to adults in Medway and Kent.

We are seeking a Registered Manager to manage a cluster of two exemplar sites in Strood, rated Outstanding Good by CQC, which provide a mix of residential and supported living accommodation.

As a provider with a very low turnover for our sector, opportunities at this level seldom arise. We are looking for a confident and personable manager who is fully committed to improving the lives of autistic adults of mixed ages and with a range of health needs, including epilepsy and personal care needs.

The role is supported by an Assistant Manager and a dedicated team at each site. You will report to a highly engaged and accessible management team, and work alongside a supportive team of peer Registered Managers.

To succeed, you will need to be an energetic leader who can harness the power of your team to drive and challenge the highest level of quality care, with particular adherence to CQC guidelines and KAT standard policies and procedures.

Importantly, you will be an enigmatic leader who can inspire and develop specialist support workers and new to care staff to provide the highest level of support and care to those we serve. This will include a willingness to lead by example, including some hands on working.

Candidates will need 2-5 years Registered Care Management experience, and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent. They will have had full management responsibility for at least one establishment, with experience of dealing with funding authorities and care planning issues.

In addition, you will need significant experience of autism and LD, MCA/DOLS and safeguarding and thrive in a non-aversive environment with some very complex needs.

The role includes some local travel, and a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle is therefore required.

We offer excellent working hours, pay and rewards to attract only the most credible of candidates.
