We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Administrator to join our User Platforms team.

In this role you will work closely with University staff and suppliers to procure, implement and manage IT systems to support University projects and key business functions.

As Systems Administrator you will:

Provision and manage IT system infrastructure to support key business processes such as HR, Finance and Student Administration.
Administer, secure and integrate MS SQL databases to support business processes.
Support the delivery of end user computing services and their integration with corporate systems.
To succeed in this role you will need:

Experience working in an IT environment, preferably supporting MS Windows.
A good working knowledge of managing IT systems, administering databases and web technologies.
Analytical skills and the ability to solve problems quickly.
A keen interest in technology and its implementation to improve and standardise business processes.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
A strong customer focus.

Information Services is comprised of four sections: Customer Support, Library Collections and IT Development together directly supporting almost all areas of University activity, and the Planning and Administration section supports the work of the department.

The User Platforms team are responsible for the development and delivery of corporate systems and end user computing services to students and staff to support the core administrative, teaching and research functions of the University.
