Our Global NYSE listed client has relationships with some of the World’s largest and most iconic organisations. They also operate under several sectors which add to their expansive portfolio and client base. They are currently seeking an experienced IT Procurement Team Leader for the European Head Quarters near Waterloo.

You will be responsible for managing a team of 2 experienced procurement professionals supplying IT services and products initially in London with potential scope to reach out across EMEA. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to work in a vibrant, fast-paced environment, who can bring new ideas and where technology is central to the businesses success.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the team are working in accordance with the procurement policies
Promote and implement the interaction with financial teams by demonstrating approval processes and accountability to improve the centralisation of the procurement department
Provide Leadership skills and techniques to the procurement team by proving support and ensure appropriate solutions cover the needed activities and deliverables
Seek alternate options and methods in order to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness in goods and services procurement
Work with the global procurement team in order to develop and maintain appropriate systems of internal control to enable the purchasing function to operate effectively
Assist and monitor supplier contracts and ensure that regular reviews are monitored
Maintain relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure smooth operation at all times
Monitor business trends and the products offered in order to give recommendations and best practice
Negotiate prices with clients and suppliers and maintain sourcing ethically and within the company guidelines
Research new suppliers, products and services to investigate to find the best processes and cost for the company
Qualifications/ Experience:

Ideally, someone who comes from a logistical/ IT procurement background or similar environment
A strong team player who is confident in any situation
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Experience of outsourced service delivery models would be advantageous
Able to perform Data Analysis on current trends to make recommendations for cost effectiveness and procurement
Financial Analysis skills and able to understand Supply Chain Management Procedures
Strong Excel skills or similar
Knowledge of Supply Management Software such as Database Management, Inventory Management, Financial Analysis, Point of Sale and Procurement
