Ever fancied working in the travel industry? We are currently looking for a motivated and driven Sales Consultant to join our friendly team in Maidstone. Time of Your Life Travel Ltd has recently taken over the brand of Ski Amis - a catered chalet company that have been crafting flexible ski holiday packages in France for nearly 30 years. As a company, customer relationships are our top priority – we pride ourselves on our customer service and our relaxed sales processes.

If you are a skier or snowboarder and would like to talk about it all day, then this is the job for you! Alternatively, if you have experience working in the travel industry in general, I am sure you would fit right in. In this role, you will report to the Managing Director. There is also the opportunity for a permanent position for the right candidate at the end of the initial fixed term contract with promotion opportunities in the future. We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have some skiing/snowboarding experience so please state this in your application.

Your responsibilities will include

Responding to Holiday Enquiries
Dealing with Reservations
Booking Administration
Maximising Sales Conversions
Up-selling Extra Services
Achieving Sales Targets
During the summer, we work as a team to prepare documents and develop new projects

Skills Required
You must have achieved at least 5 subjects in GCSE Grades A to C with at least Grade 5 or “C” at GCSE Maths and English
Excellent telephone manner and confident personality
Good written and verbal communications skills
Preferred Requirement: Experienced skier or snowboarder able to understand what a client needs on a ski holiday and advise on solutions (sales/travel sales experience will also be considered)
Understanding of the importance of excellent customer service and providing what the customer wants in an efficient manner
Preferably some sales experience either telephone or direct sales, but this is not necessary as if you have a bubbly personality, we can teach you the rest!
Good computer skills – good keyboard skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office (mainly Outlook and Word) including the ability to format documents and emails
To be able to work in a team to achieve sales targets
Winter Flexibility

As we are a seasonal business, flexibility is required in the winter. We run a shift system during the peak months for the business and you will be required to work late shifts (12:30 – 21:30) and weekends. Winter bank holidays are shared between the team and summer bank holidays we are closed.
