Trainer (Student Ambassador Scheme)

Do you hold a teaching or training qualification (including assessor’s awards) or equivalent experience? Have you effectively delivered a range of student/staff development, teaching and training within a challenging environment?

If "yes", and you are also highly organised with an ability to plan and manage development and delivery of training and engagement programmes, this full time fixed term role as a Trainer for the Student Ambassador Scheme (until 31 July 2020) could be a wonderful opportunity to join our busy and professional Partnership Development Office.

The Student Ambassador scheme is a key element of the Student Experience at Kent and is core to the delivery of the University’s outreach work. The role will ensure that ambassadors are expertly prepared to undertake their ambassador role at the University.

The role is responsible for the design, co-ordination and implementation of the student training related to the scheme.

As Trainer (Student Ambassador Scheme) you will:

prepare, review and update materials for core training
provide training and student support for the UG and PG student ambassadors
contribute to the overall teaching and training timetable during each academic year
work in conjunction with the Student’s Union in the induction and support of student volunteers
To succeed in this role you will have:

a BA Honours degree or equivalent
proven work experience within a relevant field
the skills to be extremely well organised, even under pressure
excellent oral and written communication skills
The Partnership Development Office is responsible for supporting the implementation of the University’s widening participation strategy and for developing partnerships in the region, with a particular focus on sub-regional partnerships, in support of this strategy. The Partnership Development Office is part of the Enrolment Management Services (EMS) comprising the Recruitment and Admissions Office, the Publishing Office and the Scholarships and Foreign Loans Office.
