IT Technician

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be part of a small IT Team and tasked with providing 1st and 2nd line support for 112 members of staff and 330 pupils. Your primary duties will include logging and managing IT requests using the helpdesk software and supporting both the pupils and teachers with any issues they have with regards to their laptops. You will also be responsible for trouble shooting printers around the school and supporting any problems with whiteboards and projectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• To provide 1st line technical support to all the staff and pupils at Bethany School;
• To take ownership of user problems and be pro-active when dealing with user issues;
• To log all calls on the helpdesk system;
• Respond to enquiries from pupils and teachers and help them resolve any hardware or software problems;
• Setup new user accounts and deal with any password issues;
• Support users in the use of computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice;
• To escalate more complex calls to the relevant IT member.
