Lecturer in Animal Management

Salary: £24,202 to £32,463 per annum, pro rata for part time

Hours: Full or part time, 52 weeks per year
Locations: Hadlow, Kent

We are looking for new Lecturers to join the current team to deliver a range of animal management courses to both Further and Higher Education students at our main campus in Hadlow.

The successful candidates will need practical experience in an animal care industry plus teaching experience in a practical and/or classroom setting. A keen interest in a wide range of animal related subjects is essential, as is a qualification in an animal related subject.

Applicants must show proof of a minimum Level 2 or equivalent in maths and English. Excellent communication, team work and IT skills are a must. Experience delivering Animal Behaviour and related subjects at Higher Education level would be advantageous. Qualifications Certificates in Assessing Vocational Achievement and A1/A2 (or D32 and D33) would also be advantageous.

In addition to the minimum requirements detailed above, candidates will also need a teaching qualification or the willingness to work towards one. Support is given to those who wish to train and as they work for the qualification, staff will receive a bonus of £600.00 in the third year and £750.00 in their fourth year, providing they have successfully gained their full teaching qualification at Hadlow College.

As well as a contributory pension scheme and free car parking, this post also attract 42 days holiday each year (excluding bank holidays).
