Food Production Assistant

£17,079-£18,688 per annum

The role of Food Production Assistant is to work mainly in the Touchdown Café on the Medway campus as part of a team to assist with the production and delivery of the catering and hospitality services on the Campus. The post of Food Production Assistant will involve the preparation and production of food, in line with the Food Safety Act 1990 and Regulations Guidelines 2002/2004. This will also involve the preparation and planning of menu specifications and policies as directed by the Medway Touchdown Team Leader.

The Person

You will be qualified - City and Guilds 706 level 1/2 or NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation/Cooking or equivalent. Previous experience in a high quality similar sized catering operation would be desirable. You will be of smart appearance, able to prioritise your workload and able to work under your own initiative. You will be required to start work each day at 07:00hrs Monday - Friday. Occasional working on a Saturday will be required for our Open Days - twice a year.
