Strode Park House is a 19th Century Victorian Manor House set in 14 acres of beautiful grounds in the picturesque village of Herne, Kent. We are a nursing and residential home offering both long and short-term care for adults aged 18 and upwards.

As a Bank Catering Assistant at Strode Park House, your main duties will be to assist the Cooks in preparing high quality and nutritious meals on a daily basis. You will ensure full compliance with all food hygiene regulations and our policies so that all food is safely produced and stored plus our residents choices are met. Other responsibilities will include washing up, cleaning food preparation areas and equipment in an efficient manner and ensuring there is high standard of cleanliness within the kitchen and dining room areas within the home at all times.

You\'ll need the following skills and qualities:

o General kitchen experience gained through work or be willing and able to undertake appropriate training.
o Good communication skills.
o Basic education (English and Maths).
o Be flexible to cover shifts when required.
o NVQ level 2 in food and hygiene or relevant qualification desired.
o Have a supportive and caring attitude with a flexible approach.
o Be trustworthy and reliable.


Our home provides care on a 24 hour basis, 7 days a week including weekends and bank holidays. This means we need reliable and flexible staff working within our service.

7.30am - 2pm, 7.30am - 6.30pm, 1pm - 6.30pm
