DEMELZA PROVIDES SPECIALIST CARE AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WITH TERMINAL CONDITIONS AND THEIR LOVED ONES, ACROSS KENT, EAST SUSSEX AND SOUTH EAST LONDON.

MONEY RAISED THROUGH OUR RETAIL OUTLETS HELPS US TO BE THERE FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES WHEN THEY NEED US MOST.

We are looking for a Retail Shop Assistant to run our Gillingham shops Sunday and Bank Holiday trading operation and to help maximise the potential revenue from shoppers.

In conjunction with the Shop Manager, you will co-ordinate a volunteer rota to ensure there is sufficient shop cover each Sunday.

You will have the ability to maintain availability of stock on the shop floor, to receive and sort donations and to ensure the shop is ready to trade on Monday morning. You will have experience of working with a varying agenda and workload and be able to prioritise tasks.

You must be able to act as key holder for the day and have a good awareness of Health and Safety. You will be responsible for opening and closing the shop, as well as cashing up. On days of work, you will also have responsibility for managing the shop and all shop volunteers.

Good communication and customer service skills are essential.
