Owing to substantial growth following the acquisition of a new company, the exciting Assistant Management Accountant vacancy has arisen. This successful business located in West Kent has experienced a fantastic growth rate and shows no signs of slowing down just yet.
The newly created Assistant Management Accountant role will work within a friendly team who really do work together. You will need the ability to work autonomously, managing your own workload but the support is there when required.
The key responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant will include:
Actively involved in producing monthly management accounts
Update monthly P&L and balance sheet statements.
Investigate variances to budget
Margin analysis including investigation and resolution of issues
Overhead accruals and prepayments
Payroll analysis and reporting
Tracking month end timetable and ensure all deadlines are met
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations ready for review
Fixed asset accounting and depreciation
KPI analysis and reporting
Daily cash reporting
Assist in reviewing and improving processes including updating and communicating procedures
Debtor reporting and management of debt collection.
Adhoc project work, reports and information as required
The key competencies required for the role:
You will be Part Qualified or studying towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
Driven and progressive individual
Excellent excel and data manipulation skills – SUMIF, VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables essential
Experience of month end processes and procedures
Self-motivated approach, ability to deliver to tight deadlines
Team working and communication skills
This position would suit candidates with a ‘can do’ positive attitude with strong analytical/problem solving skills.
