Connect2staff Healthcare are thrilled to be working with a fantastic company that provides residential, transition services and supported living services for adults and school leavers. We are looking for specialist Support Workers to work within a brand new Supported Living service in Herne Bay, Kent. This service provides support to individuals with complexed needs and those requiring a forensic mental health service. You will be confident working in a challenging environment and dealing with individual with Learning Disabilities, mental health conditions and complexed behaviour. Understanding risk management in a service is also extremely beneficial.



Your role will be to work with the Registered Manager and staff team to provide a safe and supportive environment, which is also stimulating and fun for the service users. You will be promoting independent living skills for each individual along with playing an active part in promoting positive public relations in the locality, to support the aims and objectives of the service.



Ideally, the right candidate would have experience in a similar environment and have worked previously with service users within forensic mental health or those with complexed needs and challenging behaviour. This however is not essential and the client will provided focused training before you start.




Requirements of role:

* Experience of working within care environment.
* Experience of working within a complex mental health environment or similar
* Experience of forensic mental health care would be advantageous
* You will be committed to providing the best level of care and supporting the services residents with privacy, dignity and respect.
* Excellent communication skills and able to work effectively in a team and as a lone worker
* Ability to work well under pressure



Due to the location of the service, it would be beneficial to have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Day & Night shifts are available, you will be required to work on a rota, and this may include some weekend work.
