The Best Connection are seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 (Category CE) Drivers based in Essex. We have a fantastic opportunity for ongoing, full-time work with a respected and well-known client. Hours of work • Start times for this role will be 10 or 11am, with a minimum working time of 5 hours a day. • This role will require you to work a minimum of 40 hours per week ov r a 7 day period but you can expect a 5-day working week, so weekend work and flexibility is required. This role will benefit drivers looking for continuous work and is comfortable with early starts. • Overtime will be paid at time and half after 45 hours. Pay Rates • £19.27 Per Hour - £25.63 Per Hour RESPONSIBILITIES • Deliver of pallet goods to stores across England, with a maximum of 4 drops daily. • Adhere to planned routes / movement orders. • Collecting hub collection pallets to bring back to the depot for trunking. • Optimise loading and unloading times to ensure all work is completed. • Executing safe, efficient transport deliveries that minimise risk

The Best Connection are seeking reliable HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers for one of our clients based in Dover. The role involves delivering chilled goods to RDC's. As a tramper driver, you’ll be required to stay out on the road overnight (tramping), ensuring timely deliveries. Key Responsibilities: Safely transport to locations across the UK. Secure loads correctly to ensure safe transport. Unload/load safely using a pallet truck Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with clients. Ensure compliance with all UK driving regulations and company policies. Complete paperwork accurately What We Expect from You: A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence. Driver CPC and Tachograph Card. Experience in tramping and driving fridges (not essential) A strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and meeting delivery schedules. Willingness to work away from home for extended periods. This is a temporary positions with opportunities for ongoing / permanent work for the right candidate. ​ Hours will be 10pm till 6am Sunday Night through to Thursday Night / Friday morning. Pay is £13.72 per hour and overtime after 38.75 hours - £20 58 Per hour Duties include: Loading and unloading vehicles Moving stock around the warehouse Lifting heavy items - i.e Beer Kegs Ensuring all paper work is correct This is a physically demanding role, and you will be required to lift up to 25kg.
